Similar to the first round we started strong into the match, running ahead 12:3 early on. At this point the young Steelvolleys team could stabilize and and found their way into the game as well. Slowly but surely they gained point over point, nearly catching up at 21:17. Although this set did not get really close at the end (25:21) we could see that they can be a difficult opponent if we don't play concentrated.

The second set started quite evenly, with both sides exchanging small leads (7:5, 8:7, 9:8, 9:10). It is a combination of strong serves and a good block, that gave us a little bit of room for the first time (14:10) in this set. From this point on we could hold on our lead. Although Oberbank Steelvolleys Linz-Steg 2 did come close again at some points we could finish the set with the same score as the first one.

In the third set we were able to control the game from the beginning. Especially after we were able to score yet another streak of points with service pressure, paired with strong block and defence (8:5, 13:5). This time we were determined to keep the pressure high and don't give them a chance to come back. And we did, ending the match with a score 25:16 in the third set.

All in all we did our job to stay undefeated after our first three games, although we were not able to show the same determination and level of play that we had in the first round. Our next match will be the first round of the Harald Rößler Cup, where we meet Sportunion Wels, who are currently 4th in 3. Landesliga West.
